Here are select pages from a children's book I am currently shopping around called, "When I Called Myself Back from the Stars," about a young boy who keeps drifting in and out of his daydreams. Illustrations in the full book alternate between scenes in Etoile's head and his actual waking life, represented by "star" borders and "earth" borders respectively. Of course, the boy's worlds get a bit blurred and the distinction hardly matters after a while. I can relate.
ALSO: A look at a psychological game I designed called, "Your True Nature" Self-Reflecting Cards. The idea is complex and still evolving—mainly due to the fact that it falls somewhere in between "fun" and "diagnostic." Based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator model, it is meant to be an easier to access, highly visual take-off on this popular way of taking an unbiased, spontaneous "snapshot" of one's true self.
