Here are recorded samples from over the years. I was in and out of bands all through high school, studied music theory and composition in college, then acquired a TASCAM 4-Track cassette deck in the 80's. This was a big deal back then and I literally wore it out (The Beatle's entire "Sargeant Pepper's" album was recorded on a 4-track deck—albeit a lot nicer than mine). The digital age was ushered in and unbelievably sophisticated software like MOTU's "Digital Performer" became affordable. Unlimited tracks; professional digital sound, on-boards effects. I recorded, arranged and produced my current band (Funky Stella at www.funkystella.com) just in our dining room using only my iMac. What used to cost $30,000 now costs almost nothing, once you have the soft- and hard-ware set up.
